French Aid group Doctors Without Borders finds the northern Haitian village of Mamont under water a month after a series of storms swept through the Caribbean island.

The 2008 storm season took a particularly tough toll on the nation’s fourth largest city, Gonaives, much of which is also still flooded and without electricity or other basic goods.

In a press release, Doctors Without Borders said “the example of the town of Mamont shows that emergency assistance remains critical for some parts of the country.”
