VIDEO: Angelina Jolie Talks Adoption From Haiti

0 Comments 12 February 2010

Angelina Jolie was recently in Haiti touring hospitals and meeting with refugees in her role as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. Jolie took time out from her busy schedule to talk with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, who asked Angelina about reports that she, and partner Brad Pitt, are planning to adopt from the earthquake ravaged country.

“I’m always open to children around the world. We’re that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that,” Jolie said. “But that’s not what we’re focusing on at this time, by any means. We’re not here for that.”

Going on to explain, “We’re here to see how we can help protect the children in-country and scale up the needs here.”

Angelina and Brad already have three adopted children, Maddox, from Cambodia, Zahara, from Ethiopia and Pax, from Vietnam. In addition the superstar couple have three biological children, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
