Heavy rain has swamped camps that house Haitian earthquake survivors.
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti—Camps that house the homeless survivors of Haiti’s earthquake were swamped Friday by one of the heaviest rainfalls since the earthquake struck in January.
The overnight downpour sent water cascading down the slopes of a former golf course that is now a temporary home for about 45,000 people, sweeping screaming residents into pools of water, and causing latrines to overflow.”
