VIDEO:Haitian-American Jason Pierre-Paul Selected by NY Giants (NFL Draft)

EAST RUTHERFORD – The Giants have selected Haitian-American Jason Pierre-Paul, a defensive end from South Florida, with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft, No. 15 overall.

Pierre-Paul, 6-5, 270, played on season for the Bulls and had 116 tackles (92 solo) and 6.5 sacks. Exceptionally athletic, Pierre-Paul played one year of high school football and for a community college in 2007 and a junior college in 2008. He played in 13 games with seven starts for South Florida. Scouts Inc. ranked him the 2nd best defensive end and the the 10th best player in the draft overall.
